I listened to my fav radio show this morning and found out that a local sportcaster had done a documentary on depression. He decided to start talking about his 12 year bout of depression when he interviewed a former Stanley Cup winner who wanted to kill himself, four days after winning the cup.
It really brought to light that people who we think have it all, suffer from the same issues as the guy/gal walking down the street.
I suffered from depression for years and at one point in my life spent more time on the couch than anything else. I was able to overcome my depression without professional help but it was a lot of work and probably not the smartest way to do it. Self help tapes and books became a major part of my life.
In reality, if you suffer from depression then you should talk to someone about it and not hold it inside. You are not alone, many people have the same issues. Pick up the phone and call someone you know that is willing to talk and help you, be it a friend, family or doctor.

Well in terms of work, I didn't get a lot done today. I just wrote out an action plan for tomorrow and it starts with a nice long shower and putting myself in a state of excitement and action. It's important to keep an eye on your state of mind at all times and you can change how you feel at any time.
I fully expect tomorrow to be a fruitful day.![]()
